ROTOCAN Rack - The most advanced way to store your cryo samples
The ROTOCAN Rack is the most advanced way to store Cryo-EM/Cryo-ET samples in liquid nitrogen. Its aluminum frame fits perfectly into any conventional liquid nitrogen Dewar (e.g. Worthington 35HCB-11M) and holds up to 16 ROTOCAN Cases, each holding up to 4 cryo grid boxes..
To facilitate easy loading and unloading, the ROTOCAN Cases are magnetically coupled to the rack's driver chain. By rotating the chain using the manual mover, the cases move sequentially to the top position. The desired case can then be effortlessly unloaded using the telescopic claw gripper and taken to the preparation station for further processing. Loading the case back into the rack is identically simple.
Each rack is clearly marked with a unique 4-digit Rack ID (e.g. DF27). A QR code allows automatic identification.
ROTOCAN Rack comes with a manual mover (to operate the driver chain) and a telescopic claw gripper (to load/unload the grid box cases).
