ROTOCAN Rack

Core component of our revolutionary ROTOCAN system

The ROTOCAN Rack is based on a patented mechanism, organising and operating up to 16 grid box cases, carrying a total of up to 64 Cryo-EM grid boxes. To facilitate easy loading and unloading, the grid box cases are magnetically coupled to a stainless-steel driver chain. By rotating the driver chain using a simple manual mover, the desired case is positioned to the top position for loading/unloading. The case can then be effortlessly removed with a gripper and placed in the preparation station for further processing.

Grid box case for easy loading/unloading

The grid box case is magnetically coupled to the driver chain of the rack. Each case can hold up to four grid boxes (e.g. ThermoFisher). The aluminum frame ensures durability and stability. Each case is covered by a label, uniquely numbered and colored for easy identification.

Easy tracking with ident number, color, QR code

Each case is closed using a ROTOCAN Label. Available in different colors and clearly marked with a unique case ident number plus matching QR code.
