ROTOCAN Case - Protect your grid boxes from contamination like never before

The ROTOCAN Case is magnetically mounted to the driver chain of the ROTOCAN RACK and can hold up to four grid boxes (e.g. ThermoFisher). The full aluminum frame ensures durability and stability.

The ROTOCAN Label is mounted on the case with a screw. Each label comes in one of 10 magnificent colors and is clearly marked with a unique Case ID plus a QR code for automatic identification.

To load/unload the case to the rack, a telescopic claw gripper is used. The gripper comes with the shipment of the rack. 

The process to load/unload a grid box into the ROTOCAN Case is simple. The screw fixing the label is removed. The grid box (up to 4 boxes) is loaded into the case (or unloaded from the case). The case is afterwards closed with the label and the screw. Of course, all this is performed under cryo conditions in a preparation station.

Loading the case from the preparation station into the storage unit in the Dewar (or unloading from there) with the telescopic claw gripper just takes frictions of a second.

Importantly, unlike all other grid box storage systems available on the market, no other grid box case is affected in its cryogenic state during this process.
